Livestock Ways ("Livestock Ways," "we," "us," or "our") is a livestock and equine freight load board operated by Qwerty Experts LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website, mobile app, or SMS/messaging services (together, the "Services"), you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are
Livestock Ways is an information marketplace that connects people who need livestock or horses hauled ("Shippers") with truckers and carriers who haul them ("Haulers"). We provide a place to post loads, find loads, and contact each other directly.
We are an information service only. We do not arrange, broker, or guarantee any shipment, and we never hold, process, or transfer payment for any load. Any money that changes hands for a haul is arranged directly between the Shipper and the Hauler. The only payment we process is a trucker's subscription to use the Services.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Information you give us:
- Contact information — your name, phone number, and email address.
- Account information — your role (Shipper, Hauler, or service provider), and for Haulers, your DOT/USDOT number and related carrier-verification details.
- Load and truck information — details you post, such as origin and destination locations, animal type and count, dates, rates, and equipment.
- Messages — the content of messages you send us, including through our SMS/messaging assistant when you post a load by text.
- Payment information — for Haulers who subscribe, billing details processed by our payment provider (see Section 4). We do not store your full card number.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device information — such as app/website activity, device type, and general location derived from the places you enter (we do not track your precise GPS location without your permission).
- Cookies and similar technologies on our website (see Section 8).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Services — post your loads or trucks, show them to relevant users, and let users contact each other.
- Operate our SMS/messaging assistant so you can post a load by text.
- Verify Hauler accounts (including DOT/USDOT verification) and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Process trucker subscription payments and manage accounts.
- Send you service-related messages (for example, confirming that your load was posted, or notifying you of activity you asked to be notified about).
- Improve, secure, and support the Services.
- Comply with law.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number, opt-in information, or SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
We share information only as follows:
- With other users, to make the marketplace work. When you post a load or a truck, the information you choose to include is shown to relevant users of the Services. Your contact number is shared with a Hauler only when that Hauler has an active subscription and chooses to contact you about your load — this is how the marketplace connects a Shipper and a Hauler for a direct deal.
- With service providers who work for us. We use trusted vendors to run the Services — for example, our messaging provider (to send and receive SMS/WhatsApp messages), our payment processor (to handle subscriptions), our hosting and mapping providers, and our carrier-verification provider. They may only use your information to provide services to us, and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Livestock Ways, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
SMS/messaging specifically: Phone numbers collected for our SMS service, and your consent to receive text messages, are not shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes. They are used only to operate the load-posting and notification service you contacted us for.
5. Your SMS/Text Messaging Choices
- Opt in. You opt in to our SMS service by texting our number (for example, to post a load). We only text you after you have contacted us, or where you have otherwise given consent.
- Opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message, and we will not send you further messages unless you opt back in.
- Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@livestockways.com.
- Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
6. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Sensitive contact details (such as the callback number on a posted load) are protected on our servers and only revealed to a subscribed Hauler at the moment they contact you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information as described in Section 9.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the website works.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us at support@livestockways.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are for business use by adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
